Terms and Conditions.
This page outlines our/we (Dirty Drive-Away) terms and conditions of cleaning. It’s more of a guidance page regarding what we can and cannot do.
Access to water
-
To be able to clean, we need access to an outdoor tap. We can occasionally use a kitchen tap, provided we can secure a connection. Dirty Drive-Away accepts NO responsibility for water leakage when using indoor fixtures. Additionally, Dirty Drive-Away accepts NO responsibility for potential water damage when access to a tap requires the hose to run through the property. We do not like running hoses through a property. As the owner, you take liability upon yourself in the event of a leak.
Property Responsibility
-
We are not allowed to run the main high-pressure hose through the property. We need access via a side gate or path to clean a patio. We can go through a garage so long as it is clear of any obstructions or valuable items.
-
Dirty Drive-Away is not responsible for the ingress of water through external fixtures. The property owner must ensure all doors and windows are watertight.
-
Due to the nature of the cleaning process, water may enter underneath garage doors. Dirty Drive-Away is not responsible for damage to any items stored behind the garage door. It is the property owner’s responsibility to move any valuable items before cleaning. Such items include garden furniture, cushions, cardboard boxes and electrical items.
Drainage
-
The cleaning process produces a lot of water and potential waste. In the case of block paving, all removed weeds, moss and detritus shall be bagged up and removed. We need free-flowing drainage to avoid water pooling. Any drains or gullies should be clear of leaves and silt before we begin cleaning. If you cannot do this yourself, we can gladly assist. An additional charge of £20 will be added to the invoice if we have to clear out any heavily blocked gullies/driveway grilles.
Stains and Lichen
-
High-pressure cleaning WILL NOT remove heavy lichen spores (black spots). In some cases, heavy algae staining too. We can remove these, but it requires chemical treatment. This treatment does not fall within our standard cleaning pricing. For more information on deep cleaning and lichen, click the links. In addition, pressure washing will not remove rust stains and oil marks. Additional chemicals are needed to attempt removal; however, we cannot guarantee that oil stains can be removed.
Area Accessibility
-
To carry out your cleaning, we need all areas clear of garden furniture, BBQs, pots and ornaments. We like to be able to set up and start cleaning. We are not responsible for damage to any items left on the patio or driveway that we may have to move. We will gladly assist you in moving heavy or bulky items. We understand that some pots may be too heavy to lift; in that case, they will be moved to be cleaned beneath. If they are immovable, then they will be cleaned around. If we have to spend 30mins removing furniture and flower pots before cleaning can commence, a charge will be incurred to cover the time. We are happy to move pots etc., free of charge for elderly or less mobile customers.
