Block Paving Resetting, Levelling & Replacement
Our block paving repair service covers resetting of minor lifting and sinking blocks or block replacement due to breakage or oil stains.

Minor block pave repair is relatively straightforward. However, it’s not uncommon to find a sinking block or two at some stage in its life. Problems can occur in high water flow areas, causing the sand to wash away. In addition, localised roots, weeds, and even ant colonies in the sand bed can lead to block issues.
Most of the time, there is no underlying issue; it’s just that the block has sunk. Removing and resetting it with fresh sand should cure most sinking pavers quickly and easily.
Blocks that are lifting may indicate an underlying issue. For example, the leading causes for lifting pavers are bush roots, thick weeds, or sandwash.
We clean and re-sand a lot of driveways every year. That’s not to say some customers haven’t tried cleaning themselves with a DIY washer. Maybe another so-called “professional” company didn’t re-sand it. If you neglect to re-sand after cleaning, weeds will grow, and the blocks can move. This causes the blocks to loosen, shift about and slowly lift out.
Sand wash occurs when flowing water gets beneath the block and washes out the sub-base sand, which in turn causes the block to lift at one end. If there is no jointing sand, rainwater, or cleaning the car can create enough flow to start this process.
