Our pressure cleaning price guide covers all types of surfaces (except decking). We offer pressure washing in Bromley and beyond. We can clean any hard exterior surface, fencing, small walls and brickwork, garden ornaments, and patio furniture.
At Dirty Drive-Away, we only use quality decking oils; we DO NOT use deck stain.
Every quote we undertake is bespoke, and every customer’s needs and requirements differ. Because each driveway and patio is also different in size, we offer a free, no-hassle quotation service.
We can often obtain area sizes online; however, if needed, we schedule a visit, assess the areas, measure up, and give a quote. The price quoted at the time is guaranteed; we don’t add little bits at the end. We are not shy about our pressure cleaning prices; many companies won’t show their rates until you ask for a quote.
Our pressure washing prices range from £1.20 – £2.00 per Square Meter.
You’ll find our prices very competitive. We have no overheads, no phone staff to pay, and no expensive fleet of vans to upkeep, so we can keep our prices low.
Our price guide works roughly to the following scale. These are the prices for cleaning per square meter (sqm). We DO NOT charge VAT on top of our quoted prices. We also DO NOT have a minimum size; if your area is only 20sqM, that’s fine; it will fall into the first price bracket.
This pressure cleaning price guide covers general pressure washing of driveways, patios and hard-surface areas. We have a separate pricing structure for decking, which is more time-consuming. In addition, the price of decking oil and sealers fluctuates; we will offer different oil choices upon quotation.
The following prices are a rough guide; every driveway is different. For example, crazy paving can be more time-consuming as loose mortar makes the job harder. Softwashing may be a better option if your jointing is in bad shape. We must also factor in your location, as we work out of Bromley, Kent. We offer a standard clean, which is a straight pressure wash or a chemical deep clean.
Our deep cleaning service uses a dirt-lifting chemical. Not all areas require deep cleaning; however, crazy paving and concrete benefit most, as they can hold onto dirt and algae.
* A deep clean will not remove lichen spores (black spots). It can help in areas like block paving, but removal is not guaranteed. It can be removed (90-95% in most cases) but requires a much stronger dose of chemicals and a lot more time. Please let us know if it’s a lichen issue that needs addressing.*
We can cover all of Kent, but if we need to travel to Ramsgate, we must factor that into the price. The prices below are based on a driveway or patio with acceptable average weed/moss growth and sound jointing local to Bromley (BR postcode); see our area map. Excessively weedy or mossy areas may incur additional costs. Please get in touch with some pictures for an accurate quote.
These are our standard clean prices + sanding if applicable (£1.00 sqM inc sand for driveways over 50 sqm). These are for general areas, not decking. Please note we have a minimum charge of £150 to clean and re-sand a driveway of less than 50 sqm. Prices are based on acceptable levels of moss and weed growth.

Please Note: The maximum cleaning size is 180 – 300 sqM daily (dependent upon the surface).
Deep Clean Pricing – (in addition to std pressure washing price)
A deep clean involves applying a dirt-releasing chemical to lift the overall clean. Since this is only sometimes required, we have priced it separately. This will give the best finish to any area and also help keep algae at bay for longer.
Algae removal/deep cleaning costs £0.90 per sqm for less than 75 sqm and £0.80 per sqm over 75 sqm, which includes all materials. Priced in addition to the standard pressure washing price above. A deep clean won’t remove rust stains, oil or black lichen spores; these require additional chemicals if required (oil stain removal is not guaranteed even with chemicals)
Please note: A deep clean WILL NOT remove lichen (black spot) spores. It can help, but stubborn spores will remain behind. Heavy lichen removal is more time-consuming and takes a lot more chemicals. Prices for lichen removal depend on the surface and are priced according to the job. Please email or get in touch for a lichen removal quote.
We charge £1.00 per sqM for sanding (inc sand)
We have had to introduce a minimum charge of £50.00 to re-sand a driveway to cover time and materials (outside BR is an additional cost)
Deck Cleaning Pricing
Our deck pressure washing prices are slightly different. We have had to introduce different pricing tiers for the required work. The extra services listed are optional but give a superior, clean, final finish on older or neglected decking areas. The service tiers are as follows: all prices DO NOT include the cost of the oil.
Pressure washing will remove some decking stain but not all of it. We can offer a stripping service to remove the old stain; we like to assess and price upon inspection. Deck oil doesn’t peel; if your deck is peeling, it may previously have had a preservative or stain applied. Any non-penetrative coatings such as varnish, stains or preservatives will need stripping before applying oil.
- Light pressure clean only, no treatment.
- Pre & post clean biocide chemical, a gentle clean followed by two coats of good quality decking oil.
- As number 2 above but with the addition of a power scrub (helps to shift stubborn algae and also the grey patina)
- Includes numbers 2 & 3 and a surface power sand (best on smooth decks, but can remove surface fuzzies and some stains on grooved decking).
The light pressure washing price is £2.80sqM. All our cleaning now includes a mild pre & post-clean biocide chemical to help remove organic growth, such as algae staining.
Deck oiling is based on the recommended 2-coat application. The oiling prices are for two coats, not per coat.
Up to 80sqM – £4.00sqM +Oil
Over 80sqM – £3.50sqM +Oil
Power Scrubbing – £0.85sqM
Surface Power buffing – £1.25sqM This will help buff away fuzziness on smooth decks. You can use this on grooved decks, but it will only do the main raised surface, not between the grooves.
Balustrades/handrails are priced at £15.00 per std 6ft long railing. Generally, handrails and spindles will use approx 1/2L of oil per section. These are very time-consuming, and although they don’t look like much, they can take quite a bit of additional time and oil.
Although there is no minimum size, we have had to introduce a minimum of £80 per coat to oil a deck. (location area dependent)
Pressure Washing Price Examples
The cleaning price for a standard concrete or crazy paved single-car driveway (with good mortar joints) of approx 5m x 4.5m would be 22.5 metres squared. Every job is quoted individually, depending upon the type of stone and initial clearing (leaves, pots, etc.) This falls into our minimum charge of £100
Freshly Cleaned Sandstone Driveway – Pressure Washing Bromley
The only extra we may have to charge for is drain gully clearing. We need free-flowing drainage to clean quickly and efficiently. The most significant cause of problems is drainage, which often starts with the drain gully. We will always ensure that these are clear when the cleaning is complete. If we must spend 30 minutes clearing out drains before commencement, we must factor in a clearing charge.
We can include this in the service if you can’t clear them yourselves before the cleaning. Prices for this are usually around £20.00 for a complete vacuum.
We are licensed to carry waste; all weeds and sand will be scraped up and removed, and no waste will be left for you to dispose of.
