One type of driveway that is now popular is PIC or pattern imprinted concrete. Without getting technical, it’s a concrete pour, then stamped with a design of your choice, and then sealed with a coloured sealer. They can even add a tint to the actual mix.

The downside to PIC driveways is maintenance. To keep them in top condition, they must be cleaned and sealed every 3-4 years. Because the sealer wears off, it can reveal the bare concrete underneath. Keeping it sealed and protected helps prevent cracks and potential repair costs.
